Gas

Natural gas, a fossil fuel, is found in porous rocks and is used as a fuel in homes directly or in the production of electricity.

Giga watt (GW)

A measure of power. 1 GW = 1,000 MW (mega watt).

Green tariff

An eco-friendly energy tariff where you get some of your energy from renewable sources such as sun, wind, and water power. Green energy tariffs can be a great way of helping to offset some of the damage caused by your gas and electricity usage while also supporting “green” causes. See green energy.
