Paperless billing, also called e-billing, is available to all customers with online tariffs. As well as the discount that many suppliers offer for signing up to paperless billing, with online account management you’ll eliminate the risk of over-paying with estimated meter readings. An energy tariff that lets you pay for your gas and electricity as and when you use it, like credit on a pay-as-you-go mobile phone. Prepayment meter customers will often pay a lot more for their energy as rates are set higher than the suppliers’ standard prices. See prepayment meters.
