Despite the recent flurry of energy companies announcing price increases in the UK domestic market, E.ON Energy has launched E.ON SaveOnline 8 - guaranteed to be at least 2% lower than E.ON standard prices for 12 months.

Launched in July 2011, the features of the E.ON SaveOnline 8 include:

• E.ON SaveOnline 8 is an online-only tariff
• Prices are guaranteed to be at least 2% lower than E.ON standard prices
• Deal is for 12 months from the date you join the tariff
• Carries an additional 8% combined Dual Fuel and Fixed Monthly direct debit discount
• At the end of discount period, you’ll automatically be transferred onto a similar plan or E.ON EnergyPlan
• If you leave within 12 months you will be charged a £30 early termination fee.

Is SaveOnline 8 right for me?

As it’s an online-only tariff, if you choose E.ON SaveOnline 8, you must be prepared to manage your energy account online - which means receiving all bills, providing all meter readings and any correspondence with E.ON will all have to be online.

If you take both gas and electricity on the tariff, signing up for dual fuel deal means an attractive extra discount of 8%.

Should your energy requirements change and you decide to move to a more competitive deal with another supplier, the early termination fee of £30 is not that painful.
