An online tariff that promises fixed prices until 3 February 2013 and offers up to £100 direct debit discount.
This summer saw the second round of price increases from the “big six” energy companies - who supply 99% of UK households - when Scottish Power, British Gas, Scottish and Southern Energy (SSE), E.ON, npower and EDF Energy all hiked prices by an average of 17.8% for gas and 11.1% for electricity. These price rises will come into effect from October.
The npower Go Fix 8 deal allows you to fix your rates at least 6% lower than npower’s new higher charges with the deal closing on 3 January 2012.
The tariff is only available if you're prepared to pay by monthly direct debit and manage your account online with paperless billing.
The discount is applied annually - continuous payment by monthly direct debit for 12 months entitles you to a discount of £100 if you buy both electricity and gas, £50 if you buy just gas or £40 if you buy just electricity.
Your discount will be credited to your account on the last day of the 12th month after you sign-up to the tariff.
