npower’s standard gas tariff is a two-tier tariff with a primary unit rate for usage up to 4572 units of gas per annum and a secondary rate for usage over that. You can also sign up to its Sign Online 22 tariff for paperless billing.

Discounts

You get a £50 discount if you pay your bill by direct debit.

Customers who choose the dual fuel tariff receive a £100 discount.

In addition, Sign Online 22 allows you to manage your account online so you can access your account securely, online, can pay your bills, edit your direct debit details and even enter your own meter readings - so you’ll never have to pay an estimated bill again. You’ll also stop receiving paper bills, helping you to do your bit for the environment.

Adding Sign Online 22 won’t cost you any extra. You’ll be able to access your bills wherever you are, and they’ll be available to view online for up to two years.

npower also offers free energy efficiency advice to help you do your bit and cut down on your energy usage at the same time.

And if you want to take your green energy to the next level you can also choose to go for npower’s Juice tariff, where npower will match every unit of normal electricity that you use and feed the same amount, generated from renewable sources, into the electricity network. Juice customers are still eligible for the discounts applied to standard tariffs.

Don't forget

Some suppliers offer an additional discount to customers who sign up for paperless billing, as it also cuts their own costs of sending out bills and technicians to read your meter. However, npower doesn’t offer an additional discount for this.

Is it right for me?

npower could save you money on your gas bills as well as offering a £20 discount. And if you want to be able to do your bit for the environment as well, then npower could be the right provider for you. And you could save even more by switching both your gas and electricity.

Energy prices vary by region so make sure that compare all suppliers at EnergyChoices.co.uk to ensure that you’re getting the best deal for your needs.
