E.ON has launched its Fixed Price 5 tariff for customers seeking to protect themselves from price rises over the next two years.
Tesco Clubcard holders can also exchange Clubcard vouchers for discounts on energy bills.
Compare energy prices online today to see if this tariff is suitable for you.
Launched in May 2011, the features of the E.ON Fixed Price 5 tariff include:
Fixed rates offer peace of mind for the duration of the deal, but that peace of mind comes at a cost - in this case a 9% premium on E.ON's standard prices. This premium essentially insures you against rising energy bills.
Also, if you’re a Tesco Clubcard holder, you earn Tesco Clubcard points for money spent on energy, and can also exchange Clubcard vouchers for online tokens to pay towards E.ON energy bills.
For every £10 of Tesco Clubcard vouchers exchanged for online tokens, E.ON adds 50% and so you will see £15 deducted from your bill. This aspect of the deal makes Clubcard vouchers worth more than their face cash value.
E.ON’s Fixed Price 5 tariff does offer competitive discounts to customers; however to make sure you’re getting the best deal for your needs, you should always compare suppliers using our energy calculator.
