npower Electrical Heating Cover

The cost of having your heating repaired in an emergency can soon rise to hundreds of pounds, not to mention the time you’re left without heating and hot water, which is why many homeowners choose to take out heating cover.

Find out exactly what is and isn't covered and if npower’s (www.npower.com) electrical heating cover policy is right for you:
npower heating cover

What’s covered?

If your domestic storage panel heaters fail or break down, you’ll be covered for:

  • Parts
  • Labour
  • VAT

Package includes:

  • Access to a free breakdown hotline, 24 hours a day, 365 days a year
  • Up to £500 per claim for call-outs, labour, parts and VAT
  • Fast assistance from an approved electrician
  • If your storage panel heaters are beyond economic repair, a £200 contribution will be made to the cost of new ones
  • Up to £100 towards hotel accommodation if you are left with no heating for more than 24 hours
  • No excess to pay, within the limits of your cover

Package Price

Costs from only £4.03 a month. Includes 12% discount.

Is it right for me?

npower’s electrical heating cover is very competitively priced, so for only £4.03 a month you can have the peace of mind that you won’t have to pay out for emergency repairs to your electrical heating system.

Also although you have a limit of £500 per claim, there’s no limit to the number of claims that you can make, and npower will even pay for hotel accommodation if you’re left without heating for more than 24 hours.

What's isn't covered?

  • You won’t be covered for any problems caused by a failure of public services
  • The first 28 days after application are not covered, so you only get 11 month’s cover in your first year
  • The replacement of the boiler or any appliance is not covered

Don't forget

  • You won’t be covered for the first 14 days of your policy, to avoid people signing up immediately after a breakdown to avoid emergency costs. So in your first year you’ll be covered for 11 and a half months.
