Energy supplier npower has launched a £20 million incentive to get young students thinking ecologically.
In a bid to motivate eco-aware students to turn their passion for the environment into positive action, npower (www.npower.com) has turned to Fearne Cotton and Piers Morgan to spearhead its ‘Climate Cops’ campaign.
Students, renamed ‘green-agers’ for the sake of this scheme, will be invited to join training courses led by leading environmental experts, media gurus and celebrities. These twelve month long courses will be open to children aged 11 to 13.

An opportunity to join the first ever Green Outward Bound Course will also be offered, affording children the chance to learn about sustainable living, climate change, and leadership skill developed through outdoor living.
Schools and students interested in entering the program should visit the following site: npower green sos
The closing date for ‘Climate Cops’ applications is June 13th. Applicants are required to identify a local ‘green’ issue the feel passionately about changing.
A panel of judges will then select ten schools to secure a place on the program. The most successful green mission, as judged by Piers Morgan and other industry experts, will win a £20,000 ‘green’ makeover for their school.
