NPower is jostling for position at the top of the energy price tables with its new tariffs Sign Online 18 and Price Guarantee.
"Big six" energy giant Npower has unveiled a new dual fuel energy tariff Sign online version 18 – its most competitive online tariff.

A spokesman for Energychoices.co.uk’s comparison partner, Energylinx, said: “It is a very strong contender to OVO Energy’s tariffs which have held the number one position across almost all standard scenarios since launch.”
Sign online version 18 comes with early termination fees of £20 per fuel if customers switch away before 30 June 2011. It features online account management and payments by monthly direct debit.
Npower’s other new tariff, Price Guarantee, is a capped tariff until 31 May 2011. Unusually, it has no exit fees.
The Energylinx spokesman added: “With these tariffs Npower has made its position clear that it wishes to operate in the competitive arena. These tariffs will create a bit of a stir.
Chris Eagle, energy expert at Energychoices.co.uk, said: “There has been a round of price cuts in the energy market in the last few weeks. Anyone who hasn’t switched for a year or more should do an energy price comparison and see if they would be better off with a new tariff.”
