npower Launch New ‘One’ Tariff

npower unveiled their new ‘One’ tariff this week, available for sale until 30th June 2008.

This tariff offers customers free boiler cover for 12 months from the policy start date and fixed rates until August 2009, and will be made available to all new dual fuel customers who pay my monthly direct debit or quarterly variable direct debit.

The boiler cover is available to home owners only, and excludes problems with pipework, radiators or expansion tanks.

npower (www.npower.com) offer a range of boiler insurance and energy tariffs with discounts of up to £80.

Chris Eagle, Commercial Manager at EnergyChoices, emphasises the rudimentary nature of this tariff’s boiler cover:

‘The ‘One’ tariff boiler cover is a basic package. You can add radiator valves and hot water cylinders to the number of components that this tariff doesn’t cover'

He continues:

'On the plus side, it removes the hassle of arranging separate energy tariffs and boiler maintenance packages however you may find it cheaper to buy the most economical of these utilities from separate suppliers.’
