Gas and electricity prices are falling with a new deal from First Utility.
First Utility has launched a new dual fuel energy tariff, which is now the cheapest in the UK.
The firm is bringing out the iSaveV3 tariff, which follows hot on the heels of its cut in its standard gas and electricity rates last week.
First Utility claims the average bill on the iSaveV3 deal is £889, a 3% cut on its previous iSaveV2 tariff.
The deal is £10 cheaper than the British Gas Websaver 6 tariff for an average household and £15 cheaper than EDF Energy Online S@ver v6.
There deal features a 10% direct debit discount and no cancellation fees.
Mark Daeche, CEO of First Utility, said: “We’re aiming to send out a clear message with today’s announcement – that there is a real alternative to the Big Six incumbent energy companies.
“I would urge people to act with their feet and demonstrate to the companies that dominate the energy sector in the UK – that people want a better deal and better service.”
First Utility is rolling out smart meters in the East and West Midlands, which should helpto reduce energy usage by 10%. Customers can monitor their usage online via Google PowerMeter.
Customers without smart meters are encouraged to provide monthly meter readings online so their bills accurately match their usage.
