Have you checked you're on the best electricity tariff? As EDF puts up its prices you should check you're on the cheapest deal available.
EDF Energy has increased its energy prices by 2.6%.
The energy giant said that the price hikes are to compensate for a 16% increase in its own distribution and transmission costs since March 2009.

“Although some EDF customers will not experience any change to their bills, it would be sensible for everyone to compare all the different electricity deals out there and switch if necessary.
“To be sure you do not get stung by any price hikes and you are not already paying over the odds for your gas and electricity, always make sure you regularly compare the market and shop around for the best energy deal available for you.”
