British Gas slash prices again

British Gas slash prices again

Tuesday 24 April, 2007

British Gas has announced today a new price cut for energy customers. For the second time this year the company has further reduced its rates; this time cutting their electricity tariff by a 6% and their gas tariffs by 3%, effective immediately.

Phil Bentley, managing director, said of the move: "Our two price cuts within the space of seven weeks will mean annual savings of £207 for our customers - while some of our competitors have failed to cut prices even once."

According to British Gas its average dual fuel bill is now down to £913 from £1,120* turning up the heat on its competitors.
