E.ON Option 1

E.ON (www.eonenergy.com) offers simple central heating care with just two price plans. Both of these plans offer cover for your boiler and central heating system as well as taking care of your annual safety check.

Find out exactly what is and isn't covered and if the policy is right for you:

What's Covered:

  • Boiler
  • Central heating system

Package Includes:

  • E.ON will replace your boiler if it cannot be repaired (provided it’s less than seven years old) or give you a five per cent discount on a new one if it’s older.
  • Unlimited callouts – There’s no chance of you filling your quotient of calls before running into a major emergency.
  • Includes parts and labour, so there are no hidden charges.
  • Includes free annual safety and maintenance inspection

Package Price

Costs from only £13 a month.

Is it right for me?

This is a good option if you want the peace of mind that full coverage for your boiler affords. You can cancel at any time without paying a cancellation fee unless you have previously called for service. In that case, you will need to pay a one-off fee of £75.

With this coverage, If your boiler is less than 7 years old you can have the comfort in knowing that E.ON will cover the cost of a new one should yours be beyond repair.

If you have a relatively new boiler and heating system, where you don’t expect to have to call them out more than once in a year, you should opt for a less comprehensive cheaper package.

What isn’t covered?

  • If you have work completed before you cancel your contract you will need to pay a £75 fee to cover costs.

Don't forget

Boilers older than 15 years are excluded from many plans, while those more than seven years old might require an inspection before you can cover them. Also, check that the make of the boiler will be covered by your chosen plan.

E.ON’s boiler insurance is limited to certain geographical regions including North West England. You will want to check your post code with the company before signing up for service.
