Is it right for me?
This is perfect for those who don’t want to commit both fuels to a go green initiative. However, remember you can’t take any other gas tariff unless it is E.ON Go Green and primarily the bigger discounts are rewarded to those who show loyalty and commit to dual fuel. Therefore you should consider switching both. Keep in mind the current expense of energy and the premium that goes with this green tariff and be sure you can afford it. With this tariff you can also get a free energy survey produced by EON which will analyse how energy efficient your home is and give you suggestions on how to reduce your carbon footprint.
Don’t Forget:
Go Green Electricity cannot be taken in conjunction with any other E.ON non-Go Green product. This means you cannot have E.ON’s green electricity tariff and take EON’s standard gas service.
Go Green Gas – This tariff offsets gas usage through funding sustainable energy projects.
Cost:
Customers pay a premium of 8% for this tariff. For example: If you gas tariff is £400 annually, you will pay an additional £32 per year.
Benefits to Environment:
EON will offset the carbon emissions produced by the gas used in your home by funding sustainable energy projects through Climate Care, a carbon offset company which helps developing countries.
Climate Care’s initiatives include projects funded by E.ON to create renewable energy sources and help people living in India and Honduras become more energy efficient.
