EDF energy for small to medium businesses

EDF defines small to medium businesses as those that have less than 20 sites and spend less than £30,000 a year on energy.

It has a variety of contracts available to small to medium business customers. Features include:

  • A choice of fixed-price contract lengths
  • An automatic price review after your fixed-price period ends
  • 2% off every quarterly bill when you pay by monthly direct debit
  • A free energy efficiency advice service
  • A green option that helps to protect the environment and makes the electricity supply exempt from paying the Climate Change Levy

It offers a range of different meters to suit different business’ needs, including the following:

  • Business Standard – This is best for businesses operating on weekdays between 8am and 10pm, such as offices, shops and cafés.
  • Business Economy 7 – This suits businesses using most of their electricity between 12am and 8am, such as factories and bakeries.
  • Business Evening and Weekend – This is designed for businesses that use electricity at night and at weekends, such as pubs, nightclubs and restaurants.

It also supports other meter variations, such as seasonal and white meters.

Small and medium businesses can collect Nectar points on a range of EDF’s products and services.

EDF energy for large businesses

EDF defines large businesses as those that have more than 20 sites or spend more than £30,000 a year on energy.

It has a special division called Major Business which is focused solely on large businesses and currently provides energy to over 30,000 organisations that together spend over £2billion on electricity and gas.

It has a wide selection of different contracts for businesses to choose from and promises to provide a reliable, efficient service with no hidden charges.
