Is it right for me?

If your boiler is over seven years old then this package may be best for you. This premium package is essentially for those who anticipate that their boiler is about to develop a number of problems. Beware of the hefty cancellation fees though, and only take this coverage out if you foresee using it for the full 12-months.

Plumbing, drains and home electrics are covered by HomeCare 400. If you don’t live in a modern build, and a boiler breakdown could trigger a number of other difficulties in your home, then this is the best level of service for you.

Check first that the boiler isn’t already covered by your home insurance, and start to consider replacing your old boiler with a new one. This could save you money; new boilers are significantly more energy efficient.

• * Prices start at £27 a month, but can go up depending on your location. The price increases if you live in close proximity to the M25
• Some areas of the UK may be outside of the HomeCare service coverage. Check first before you apply
• Payment by cash, cheque or credit card is subject to an administration fee. Direct debit payments do not incur a charge
• Cancellation costs are up to £265 for customers in their first year of the agreement who have already received a repair, and up to £175 if you have not yet received a repair.
