The data in our price comparison calculators comes directly from the EnergyLinx. They check prices and tariffs on a daily basis.

The information in our guides and articles is based on extensive research of the energy market and up-to-date information about the latest tariffs and suppliers.

Does the service cost me anything?

No. We believe it’s the consumer’s right to be informed about what’s going on in the market. We also believe that there are some expensive and unreasonable suppliers out there, and their customers should not be led to think that they’re getting a good deal. For this reason, we offer the service for free and have made a huge effort to keep our calculators and best buy tables as simple as possible.

How do you make money?

We do receive commission from companies when customers switch through our site. However, this doesn’t push up the cost to you and doesn’t affect the way we list our packages. You still pay the price quoted on the provider’s own website, but with us you can compare costs against other providers, check for hidden costs or fair usage policies and look at more than just the price.

How do you remain impartial?

The money we earn from suppliers does not influence their position in our calculator and best buy tables. Their ranking is based on factors like price and features – factors that don’t change according to how much we earn from them! Energy Choices strives to provide an independent service that people can trust, and not one that pushes consumers towards making particular choices.
